An audience profile is when data is collected from a potential audience. This helps target a product for a particular group of people, who have the same interests or who are the same age are who have the same social grade.    There are many things that help make an ideal target audience for example social grade psychographics and demographics.   For my audience the social grade would be E as when I researched who my audience was I found out that the people who took part in my survey where apart of this social grade as they are still in education.  8% of the UK's population are this social grade this social grade include people who are 16-18 who are in education.     The next part of research that would help me define my target audience is psychographics. analysis of existing products.

Today I am going to be analyzing existing tv adverts to show that I understand the codes and conventions of these products.  1st mental health advert   : in this advert bright colors are used to attract people towards the advert. in this advert the feature the company's logo multiple time throughout the advert. the advert uses short sentences throughout this could mean that advert as a broader target audience. I think that the target audience would be between 11-30.  2nd mental health advert  : this the second mental health advert that I watched it uses darker colors to portray the struggle that the girl in the advert is feeling. I think that the target audience for this advert would be 16+ due to the darker nature of the advert.  comparing the adverts:  the first advert featured the company's logo multiple times throughout the advert, I feel like this was done to promote the charity so that more people can find out about them and access their se...

editing

AC1 editing  Examples of continuity and non-continuity editing   Continuity editing – continuity editing is a type of editing that is used to help the story flow in a chronological way that is easy for the viewer to understand. Example of this is a match cut is an example of continuity editing, this is when a director cuts from one scene so a completely different scene. Another example of continuity editing is eyeline match this is when it allows you as the viewer to see what the character(s) in the scene are seeing then in the next shot you’ll see exactly what  the character sees the same way that the character see it.   Non-continuity editing – non-continuity editing is when shots do not particularly match up to disrupt the impression of time and space an example would be a montage
